A Creamy Lamb Curry Recipe Test
It’s curry time again and Saturday morning found me browsing at the untested curry recipes. I love doing this. I was drawn to the lamb curry recipes category where there are some great curry recipes. And there was a recipe for a yummy creamy lamb curry that I had been avoiding for a long time. The recipe uses coconut cream, single cream and yogurt and this means lots of calories – yes? Well, maybe there are more calories in this curry than in lots of other curries but they are not too excessive. And all I have to do is sacrifice a couple of beers to balance things out.
Consequently, my weekly shopping trip found me buying coconut cream, single cream and yogurt as well as the lamb and lamb stock. Everything was easy to find.
Making the Creamy Lamb Curry
This is such an easy lamb curry recipe. There are no tricky steps and everything went smoothly. I even managed to separate the egg yolks without making too much mess.
The tasting team arrived about 10 minutes before the curry was ready and happily waited for the curry to arrive.
Tasting and Rating the Creamy Lamb Curry
I served up the creamy lamb curry on basmati rice for everyone and pretty soon the room was quiet while the serious business of tasting was underway.
And everyone loved the curry. The lamb was well cooked, and the curry tasted great. The only downside was that there was too much liquid in the curry – maybe, reducing the amount of lamb stock would have solved the problem or the curry could be cooked with high heat at the end to evaporate the excess liquid.
The creamy lamb curry received an average taste score of 8 out of 10 with a spice/heat rating of “Mild to Medium”.
Make the Creamy Lamb Curry Again?
There’s no reason to not make this curry again. It is a very easy recipe to follow and the results are delicious.
