From a curry perspective, think Scotland and you think tikka. Specifically, tikka masala that was invented in Scotland.
From a drink perspective, think Scotland and you think Irn Bru (made by Barrs in Cumbernauld).
A Hamilton takeaway has put the two together and come up with an Irn Bru Tikka. What could go wrong? Nothing went wrong. The House of Shah had come up with a winning recipe.
From a hesitant start, the House of Shah curry house was soon selling in excess of 600 portions of Irn Bru Tikka in a week. Now that’s what we call enterprise.
The takeaway has had a previous success with Irn Bru Pakora but it looks like the tikka will be a much bigger winner.
This is all very good if you live in Hamilton but what about the rest of us? We can’t all live in Hamilton.
