A Low Fat Chicken Bhuna Curry Recipe Test
It is curry time again. I browsed through the untested recipes looking for an easy curry recipe to try and it was not too long before I found the Low Fat Chicken Bhuna Curry recipe in the bhuna curry recipes category.
This looked like an easy curry to make and I bought the ingredients that I needed when out on my usual weekly big shop. About the only ingredients that I needed to buy were the chicken, yogurt and fresh coriander (cilantro).

Tasting and Rating the Low Fat Chicken Bhuna Curry
The curry tasting team arrived on time. Everything had gone smoothly and I soon served up the low fat chicken bhuna curry on basmati rice.
Everything was well cooked and this was a popular curry that received a taste score of 8 out of 10 with a spice/heat rating of “Mild To Medium”. About the only criticism was that the sauce was a bit runny but nobody was really too upset with the sauce.
One thing that confused me was that the description contained the words “low fat”. My simple mind equates these words with “low calories”. But this recipe is not particularly low calorie because there are lots of chicken curry recipes on the Curry Focus website that have fewer calories than this “low fat” curry. In fact, I find that most home made curries have less calories than curries from supermarkets or curry houses and a great series of blogs about calories in curries was published on the Curry Focus website a while ago – the information in the blogs is still current today.
