The 11th British Curry Awards were celebrated on 30th November at The Battersea Park in London.

These are the premier curry awards in the UK and this year some 218,000 public nominations were received for 2,459 restaurants.

The attendees at the glitzy awards ceremony enjoyed some great curries as well as live entertainment.

But the ceremony is all about the awards and here they are.

Best Restaurant – North East Aagrah, Leeds
Best Restaurant – Midlands Pushkar, Birmingham
Best Restaurant – Wales Sheesh Mahal, Dyfed
Best Restaurant – South West Spice Lodge, Cheltenham
Best Restaurant – South East Shampan at The Spinning Wheel, Kent
Best Restaurant – Central London and City The Cinnamon Club, Westminster
Best Restaurant – London Suburbs Green Spice, Kent
Best Newcomer Restaurant The Calcutta Club, Nottingham
Best Casual Dining Dabbawal Jesmond, Newcastle
Best Delivery/Takeaway Restaurant The Chilli Pickle, Brighton
Special Recognition Award Reza Mahammad (TV celebrity chef)

The Chilli Pickle (Brighton) wins the best delivery/takeaway award for the second year in a row.
