British Curry Awards 2014 Results

This year saw over 236,000 nominations for the 10th annual British Curry Awards. There are about 10,000 curry houses in the UK and the nominations covered 2,900 of them.

The impressive awards ceremony took place at Battersea Evolution on 1st December, 2014 in front of 1,800 guests from all over the British curry world.

There was singing and dancing and sumptuous food for the assembled throng during the glittering evening.

OF course, a few politicians managed to get in front of the cameras but this occasion was to celebrate the yummy curry.

Best Newcomer Restaurant Five Rivers A La Carte, Walsall
Best Casual Dining Dishoom, Covent Garden, London
Best Delivery Restaurant The Chilli Pickle, Brighton
Lifetime Achievement Award Shams Uddin Khan (Maharani restaurant, Clapham, London)
