The US Thanksgiving holiday is almost here. This year it is on 28th November, which is a Thursday. Yeah, yeah. I know. US Thanksgiving is always on a Thursday.
The turkey is ordered, the friends and relatives are ready to meet up and eat too much and the long weekend is one of the most popular US holidays. Unless you’re a turkey, of course.
Nearly 90% of Americans eat turkey at Thanksgiving which means that a whole lot of turkey is consumed, along with the usual accompaniments of potatoes, yams, squash, cranberry sauce and many others.
Of course, there will be lots of leftover turkey after the main dinner and, over the next few days, there will be turkey sandwiches, turkey soup and turkey snacks. You get the idea.
