Nominations are now open for the 2013 Scottish Curry Awards. This is the 6th annual Scottish Curry Awards and nominations can be made up to 3rd May 2013.
There are over 500 curry houses in Scotland, with over 100 in Glasgow alone. Glaswegians love curries and the city often wins the title of Curry Capital of Britain (Glasgow last won the title in 2010).
And, once again, the Curry Awards ceremony will take place in Glasgow. The awards take place on 10th June, 2013 at the Thistle Hotel in Cambridge Street, Glasgow.
This year there are 12 awards categories: Curry Lover of the Year, Team of the Year, Chef of the Year, Takeaway of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Award, Restaurant of the Year, Curry King or Queen 2013, The Best of Glasgow, Healthy Curry Provider, Maitre D’ of the Year, Best Restaurant Design and Best Marketing Campaign.
Once again, you have to download a nomination form, fill it in and post it to the organisers. One day the awards organisation might catch up and let us vote online.
So if you want to make your voice heard, then go to the nomination page, print it, fill it in and post it. You don’t have to put something against all 12 categories – just those that you want to nominate. There’s an information page that gives a description of each category.
You still have a few weeks to send in your nomination with nominations closing on 3rd May, 2013.
