Chicken Curry Recipe Review

Hi, Ray here again.

Once again the weekend is here so it is yummy curry time. The Curry Focus website has hundreds of curry recipes and the category with the most recipes is the chicken curry recipes category. In fact, chicken curry recipes account for an amazing 15% of the curry recipes. And I do like a great chicken curry recipe.

So Saturday morning saw me looking at the chicken curry recipes. A few of the recipes are just called “Chicken Curry” so they have been given a version number so people can tell them apart. Chicken curry recipe (version 3) caught my eye because it looked easy to make (appealing to my lazy nature) and also looked tasty. I picked up the chicken, tomatoes and fresh coriander (cilantro) during my usual supermarket shop.

As usual, Sunday afternoon found me preparing the curry ingredients and getting everything ready before starting to make the curry.

This really is an easy recipe to follow and nothing went wrong at all (unusual for me – I often seem to mess something up).

The curry and rice were ready at the same time and I served up the Chicken Curry on basmati rice to the official curry tasters (this is an unpaid honorary position and dinner is provided in return for a couple of beers and an honest critique of the food).

Anyway, everybody quickly started into their curries and soon there were smiling faces everywhere. The chicken was well cooked and this was a lovely, light curry. The great coconut taste was combined with the coriander (cilantro) taste. The meat was tasty (chicken thigh meat is always better than chicken breast meat). The chicken curry received a great taste score of 8.5 out of 10 with a spice/heat level of “Medium” (the curry had a bit of a kick to it but the heat level was not overwhelming).

I really loved this yummy chicken curry and, much to my delight, there was enough left over for me to have a couple of lunches. Score.
