The Jamaican Olympic team will be based at Birmingham University before they move down to London and they are determined to enjoy traditional Jamaican food.
And what could be more Jamaican than goat curry? Among the ingredients that are being shipped from Jamaica to Birmingham are bananas, goat heads, pig tails and scotch bonnet peppers. Oh, and a chef.
The chef is there to supervise the cooking of the Jamaican food and make sure that the athletes receive a balanced and nutritious diet.
Unfortunately the athletes have to eat what they are given by the International Olympic Association when they are in London so they are sure to make the most of the food on offer in Birmingham.
Will the goat curry help Usain Bolt break a couple of world records? We shall see.
