British Curry Awards 2011

Later than expected, we’ve at last learnt the details about the 2011 British Curry Awards.

The 7th annual awards ceremony will be held on Monday, 28th November at Evolution in Battersea Park.

You can nominate your favourite restaurant by going to an online form (at last, an online nomination form).

Be careful to check the terms and conditions that are at the bottom of the form. There are only a couple but the restaurant must have at least 50 covers (or dishes).

Just as before, the best restaurant awards are split into regions – Scotland, North East, North West, East Midlands, Wales, South East, South West, London Centre & City and London Outer & Suburbs.

Any restaurant that has been trading for less than 3 years is competing for the Newcomer of the Year award (no regions – just a single national title).

There is a new award this year for the British Culinary Chef of the Year. Nominations for this award are separate to the best restaurant award. You can read about this exciting new award here.

Nominations for the restaurant and chef awards must be received by 1st September so you have around 5 weeks to make your voice heard.
