Unless you’ve been living in a cave, you must have heard how the latest immigration rules are making it harder to bring Indian curry chefs into the UK.
Bradford College has seen the gap in the market and will soon be offering a degree in cooking curries so that locals can now learn the art and craft of making a good curry.
Local chefs will become the teachers in this enterprise and Bradford College will be taking applicants from the UK and overseas in courses ranging from apprenticeship qualifications to full degrees.
The cooking courses cover the whole range of Asian and international cuisine, not just curries.
Curry houses have been closing recently because of the lack of good chefs and It is hoped that these new courses will help alleviate the shortage of trained curry chefs so we can all continue to enjoy our curries.
