Nominations are now open for the 4th annual Scottish Curry Awards.
This event gets bigger each year. There was a huge number of nominations last year – over 5,000 and the organisers are expecting more nominations this year.
As well as nominating your favourite curry house, you can nominate curry lover of the year, team of the year, take away of the year and chef of the year. There are also categories for curry king or curry queen, curry lover of the year and lifetime achievement award. And here’s a category you don’t often see – best supermarket curry.
The curry awards will be presented at the Thistle Hotel, in Glasgow, on May 23rd.
For some strange reason, you have to download a nomination form, fill it in and post it to the organisers – very 20th century, but there you go.
So if you want to make a nomination, download the form, find a pen and complete the form, buy a stamp (and an envelope) and have your say. You have a few weeks to send in your nomination with the nomination closing date being 15th April, 2011.
