Nearly 12,000 people voted in the first stage of the search to find the top Welsh curry house for 2011.
And the top 30 now progress to the next round. As part of the competition to find the the yummy curry house of Wales, each restaurant has to create a Welsh curry that contains Welsh lamb and Welsh leeks and the curry has to be on their main menu until the end of March.
Right now, independent regional judges are visiting each of the restaurants in their area and the top restaurant in each area will be announced at the end of March. The three regions are North Wales, Mid Wales and South Wales.
After the regional winners are announced, national judges will visit each of the top restaurants and choose a grand winner, with the winning curry house being announced on 14th April.
This is the 5th time that the Welsh Curry Award competition has been held.
