British Curry Awards 2010 Results


The best curry restaurants in Britain have received awards at the 6th annual British Curry Awards that were held last Sunday (21st November) in a lavish awards ceremony at Grosvenor House in central London.

This year over 65,000 nominations were received and the judges had a tough job to pick the winners.

The regional winners were:

Region Winner
Scotland Ashoka (Johnstone)
North East Spice Cube (Newcastle)
North West Millenium Saagar (Isle of Man)
Midlands Lasan (Birmingham)
South West Rajpoot (Bath)
South East Aziz (Oxford)
Wales Bengal Dynasty (Shotton, Flintshire)
London Suburbs Brilliant (Southall)
Central London Bombay Brasserie (Wimbledon)

In addition to the regional winners, the Best Newcomer award went to Mem Saab (Leicester) and the Most Innovative Restaurant award was won by Chilli Pickle (Brighton).

Take a note of the winning restaurant that is closest to you and make a special effort to visit them and try an award winning curry.
