Goan Chicken Curry Recipe Review

The weekend is here again so it’s time for another yummy curry from the great range of curries on the Curry Focus website.

I chose to make the Goan Chicken Curry because it looked so easy to make.

And it was really easy to make with the recipe basically fitting into three parts – preparing the coconut, making the onion and coconut paste and, finally, making the curry. I gave myself plenty of time because the onion and curry mixture had to cool before being made into a paste.

I followed the recipe and left the mixture to cool and then made the paste.

I did this well before the dinner guests were due to arrive so that it was only the last easy steps that needed to be done when they arrived.

As soon as the guests arrived, I started cooking the chicken while handing out some beers.

The final cooking phase was underway in a very short time and the rice went into the microwave 15 minutes before it was needed.

Everything was ready at the expected time and I served up the Goan Chicken Curry with a generous garnish of coriander to the dinner guests.

This is a delicious curry and, if you like coconut, then you are in for a treat. This is a very simple meal that is attractive to look at as well as being good to eat. It was a bit mild for my tastes but the dinner guests raved about it with two out of the three guests preferring mild curries.

The Goan Chicken Curry received an average taste rating of 7 out of 10 with a heat rating of “mild”.

This is a really easy curry to make and will definitely be one that I make again.
